Garden of Aden

Image
Garden of Aden Garden of Aden After God finished creating the heavens and earth, He rested on the seventh day. The rest that God took was not necessitated by weariness, but as an indicator to the completion of His creation. Hence, the seven-day week has existed since creation, and those who have tried to change it have reverted to it. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made (Genesis 2:2, 3). The Sabbath day symbolizes the spiritual rest we receive from the sacrifice made on the cross. This day represents a time for reflection, rejuvenation, and connection with our faith. Therefore, individuals should not be judged based on their chosen day of rest or work.   Each person has their circumstances and beliefs, and it is essential to approach this topic w...

Creation

Image
Creation Acknowledging that God is the creator of the world invites a profound understanding of one’s own existence. It instills a sense of purpose, reinforcing the idea that each person is not merely the result of random chance but part of a deliberate and meaningful design. This recognition deepens the appreciation for the eternal God, who, in His wisdom, designed the intricate tapestry of existence with love and intent.   In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The God (Elohim monotheistic Creator) Who is well endowed to create the heavens and the earth, then, there is nothing too hard for Him. God is great, reigning in dominion, authority, Knowledge, wisdom, and intelligence over all creation. He is awesome in power and glory.   God is the architect and sustainer of creation. The "foundation" implies purpose, order, and stability. The heavens were not only created by God but were stretched out like a curtain, demonstrating ...

Satan cast out of heaven

Image
Satan cast out of heaven From how the events appear in the Bible, and considering that God is merciful and long-suffering, the devil must have been stubborn long enough for God to pass judgment on him. Therefore, there is a possibility that the devil existed before the creation of the world.   Isaiah is speaking about the fall of Satan into the future. The dramatic fall of Lucifer, who was brightly shining in heaven, is symbolically represented by the fall of the king of Babylon. Hence, the spiritual Babylon. His fall comes in four phases: i. Satan fell from glorified to impious (Ezekiel 28:14-16).  This is the fall the devil has already fallen as described by Jesus. “ I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven (Luke 10:18). The enemy awaits three more falls. ii. The accuser of brethren will have no access to heaven (Job 1:12, 1 Kings 22:21, Zechariah 3:1) he will be restricted to the earth (Revelation 12:9). iii. Worse still, he will fall from being the god of this...

We know God exists because of the world He created

Image
We know God exists because of the world He created   Creation itself testifies to the existence, power, and divine nature of God. The heavens, the earth, and all living things are not supposed to be seen as random accidents, but as evidence of purposeful design by a wise and powerful Creator. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork (Psalm 19:1). Consequently, the evidence provided by creation leaves man without justification for denying the existence of God.   For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:20). The Book of Genesis is the foundation of the redemption story, and redemption is the purpose of the entirety of the Bible. The Book of Genesis contains the doctrine of Sin, the fall, redemption, justification, the promise of the Messiah, and Jesus Christ, and the Kingdom of ...

The pre-existence of the Word

Image
The pre-existence of the Word In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) The Bible starts by making a declaration of Christ’s supremacy and divine nature. The Word is the cause of creation , affirming pre-existence and the active role in bringing all things into being. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God (John 1:1-2). The timeless eternity before Genesis 1:1 means that when the beginning began, the Word existed. Therefore, the Word existed before and will exist after time. Hence, the Word is the beginning of the beginning, with the past in the unmeasured history. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God (Psalm 90:2). This understanding reveals the profound truth that Jesus Christ is not a created being but the very Creator of all things—both seen and unseen, grand and sma...
