Christmas

Image
Our Christmas was spent surveying the Gachororo- Juja slum, New Year celebration venue, courtesy;  Glorious Grace Ministries, Morning Star Children’s Home.  7 of the children in this slum sleep outside in the cold. 4 of the 7 would like to join an orphanage and continue with their education. We anticipate reaching 70 children on 1 st  January and God willing save more than 4 from the hostile slum life. It was not without incidences as there are people who misuse these children and they feel the lose already.

Second Drought Relief Mission to Kakwanyang- Lodwar

Image
It was very refreshing to see the many community members gathering hope again after receiving the maize flour we took to Lodwar. We were able to reach about 500 families. 14 people received Christ as Lord and Savior. It was an amazing mission, We thank God for our friends Tumaini Miles of Smile ( www. tumainichildrenshome .com /  http://alexelliott-alexpalex.blogspot.com )  who were used greatly of God to make this mission a reality.

Planning for another mission to Lodwar

Next week (12 th to 15 th September 2011)   we are joining another team to take food to Turkana Northern Kenya. Join us as we save our brothers from drought and floods. We need the confidence of Joshua and Caleb who "said to the entire Israelite assembly, 'The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them'."( Numbers 14:7-9 ). Even after forty years in the wilderness, they kept that same spirit of victory.

T here are currently more than 143 million orphans in the world. In addition, there are almost 246 million vulnerable children. These children are endangered by HIV/AIDS, abject poverty and other predators. These children are malnourished and feel the daily effects of not having parents to provide physical and emotional support. Due to poor living conditions, malnutrition, and diseases such as HIV, Kenya bears more than its fair share of these Orphaned, Vulnerable and Needy Children. Frequent droughts due to global warming and high cost of living due to world fuel effects affect the poor greatly. Introduction Glorious Grace Community Empowerment Program (GGCEP) is a program of Glorious Grace Assemblies Church which is a registered charitable organization based in Kenya, East Africa. We are registered by the government of Kenya as a society under section 10 of the societies Act. GGCEP enables women, mostly those impacted by HIV/AIDS. The project targets mothers to prevent the spread o...
