Tell the righteous that it shall be well Part 7b Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him (Isaiah 3:10, 11).   Perplexed, but not in despair  Righteous people often find themselves in tough situations. Nonetheless, the joy of the Lord is our strength. Therefore, we rejoice in the Lord always as we prevail triumphantly through situations. Through it all, rest assured, no situation is permanent. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:2-4). We should always rejoice, when lying down in green pastures. Even so, when we walk through the v...

Tell the righteous that it shall be well Part 7 Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe to the wicked! In such state of affairs, the victory will not be determined by the magnitude of the storm and the gifting of the believer. But, by how one handles the situation. This calls for character. Unfortunately, character is birthed after persevering the birth pains of tribulations. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us...

It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him (Isaiah 3:10, 11).   The need to be strong and courageous There is great need to be strong and courageous, for the enemy of our souls seeks to steal kill and destroy. Then, only those who are able to submit to God can be able to resist him. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Theory of delegation explain the process by which an authority transfer responsibility to another in order to achieve result. The concept is highlighted by the Centurion in the City of Capernaum . For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it (Matthew 8:9). Indicating, that he ...
Hustler/dynasty narrative is as venomous as ethnic debate in Kenya COVID-19 pandemic became a global challenge that culminated in innumerable challenges touching peoples’ health, finance s , social and economic aspects. The measures to control the pandemic included lockdown, curfew , movement cessation , closure of eateries, wet food markets and schools. This largely affected businesses causing loss of income and jobs. Consequently, deepening poverty, unemployment, frustrations and related vices. A community whose needs are not met is a frustrated community and easily provoked to rage. This is consistent with the proverbial saying of the 17th century; a hungry man is an angry man. An angry person always seeks where to vent their anger.   Politicians by nature are opportunists. The opportunity of this season is the negative energy in people and where it may be vented. On one hand, the ethnic narrative in Kenya, entrenched a lie that the community in power has the infl...

It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him (Isaiah 3:10, 11).   Theory of labelling . Labelling theory was developed by Howard S. Becker in his 1963 (Becker, 1963). The theory states that self-identity and behavior of individuals are influenced and may be determined by the terms used to describe or label them.   The label is used to describe human interaction, control, and identification.   It is associated with the concepts of self-fulfilling prophecy and stereotyping. Therefore, one should refuse that label of failure, lack, sickness and disease. ... Let the weak say I am strong (Joel 3:10). Had Jephthah accepted the label of the son of a harlot, Israel would not have defeated … twenty cities from Aroer as far as Minnith and Abel Keramim; subduing the peopl...

Paul an apostle and a renown author did not have many friends. He had Timothy, Luke; the physician and Our Lord Jesus ...a friend who sticks closer than a brother... (Proverbs 18:24). Paul testified that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, stood with him even when everyone else deserted him; at a very trying moment which was in the last of his last days. People whom he never expected to desert him were, Demas and Alexander the coppersmith, who seemed to have hurt him when he needed him most.   Paul, did not seem to have acquired much property for himself b...
Tell the righteous that it shall be well (Series 4) Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, For the reward of his hands shall be given him (Isaiah 3:10, 11).   There is time for every purpose God has set the seasons, which are meant to remain as long as the earth remains. They come and go after accomplishing their purpose and the cycle continues. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, and day and night Shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22). To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Therefore, it is prudent to learn to know the seasons we are in life. As global seasons are specific to the different regions of the earth, so do individuals have specific seasons. This makes it paramount to discern our seasons. As each season come with different opportunities. Anyhow, when...
